General Events

1. You will only book and attend events if you are a single person
2. If you attend an event that you should not have attended you may be asked to leave that event and may be refused to atend other events. In any case no refund will be paid by Singles in the City
3. You agree to pay the event fee as indicted by Singles in the City
4. If you book and pay for an event and fail to show, Singles in the City is not liable to refund any event fee.
5. You shall always act in a friendly social manner while attending any Singles in the City Event

Speed Dating events

1. By booking or registering for Speed Dating with Singles in the City Limited, or registering your details with Singles in the City Limited you hereby agree to these  Terms & Conditions and you further represent and ensure that you have the right, authority and capacity to abide by all the Terms and Conditions.
2. By registering with Singles in the City Limited you provide your assurance that you legally allowed to register and or attend events.
3. You understand that Speed Dating is for Single people and that it is understood by your participation that you are single.
4. Singles in the City Limited reserves the right to check identification and to refuse any person from attending an event.
5. We are not a Match Making company and we do not guarantee that you will meet your match in any form and no refunds will be given.
6. Singles in the City Limited arranges events which provide an opportunity for single people to meet other single people in a safe, fun and relaxed environment.
7. We do not verify personal information of those participating at our events. It is your responsibility to verify personal details of others to your own satisfaction. Please treat any contact with participants at one of our events with the same caution that you would do when meeting other people you do not know.
8. Singles in the City Limited aims to offer participants 8 -12 speed dates per event but is unable to guarantee this quantity. Should participants for whatever reason not attend an event, numbers may be slightly decreased. By booking onto an event, you agree that neither Activity Friends Limited or any of its associates are liable for any damages, direct or indirect, that may arise from participating in a Speed Date event.
9. This includes any damages, without limitation, arising out of communicating with other participants registered with Singles in the City Limited. Such damages include, without limitation, emotional distress and discomfort, physical damages or bodily injury.
10. Singles in the City Limited’s events are held at venues which the company does not own and does not control. Therefore, in the event that you suffer damages of any kind at an event, you agree to release Singles in the City Limited and its associates from any liability with respect thereof. Singles in the City Limited reserves the right to change venue and timings of events.
11. By booking onto a Speed Date event or by registering with Singles in the City Limited, you accept that Activity Friends Limited offers an opportunity for meeting new people but that Singles in the City Limited does not guarantee that any participant at an event will successfully match with another participant. Singles in the City Limited does not guarantee that any meeting between participants after one of our events will be successful.
12. Although it is rare, Singles in the City Limited reserves the right to invite media to attend events, and participation in events is taken as your acceptance that your photo or image may be used within Singles in the City Limited marketing and publicity materials. This includes both online and published media.
13. Singles in the City Limited offers a email newsletters to members and periodically sends emails about new services, special offers, scheduled service interruptions, etc. Our members can opt-out of receiving communications from us by unsubscribing from our mailing list. To do so, simply send us an email or opt-out on the newsletter.

Confidentiality of Personal Information

1. Singles in the City Limited understands and respects the importance of your personal information. We treat your name, email address, age and telephone number as confidential information. This information is necessary for us to register you for an event and for us to communicate with you after an event.
2. We undertake to keep all your personal information confidential and will not sell or provide your personal information to any third parties unless required to do so by law.
3. By participating in an Singles in the City Limited event, you are giving us permission to forward your first name, email address and depending upon your preference a contact phone number to any participants where there is a "mutual match". A "mutual match" is where both parties indicate that they would like to be put in contact with one another. 
4. We will not forward any of your details to anyone else without your prior permission.
5. We may use your email address and/or phone number to contact you about upcoming events and announcements that we believe may be of interest to you. At any time, you may opt out of receiving such communications by sending an email to info@sitc.co.nz requesting to be unsubscribed from our database.

Singles in the City Limited has a NO refund policy.

1. Anyone who has booked and paid for an event has the right to transfer to another event provided that 7 days notice is given by sending an email to info@sitc.co.nz requesting a booking transfer.

2. If a transfer request is made with less than 7 full days notice the booking will be made void.

3. You may reassign your booking to another person of the same gender of your choosing by notifying Activity Friends Limited at any stage. If you are unable to arrange a replacement regrettably there will be NO refunds for the event booked.

Postponement or cancellation of the event

1. We will make every effort to hold events at the dates, times and locations specified on our web site. We do reserve the right to cancel/postpone and/or change event dates, times and locations although this happens very rarely.
2. We recognize that our guests look forward to attending our events and that postponing or canceling an event can be extremely frustrating and disappointing to say the least. We assure you that we make every effort to ensure that all events proceed as planned and only postpone or cancel an event when we are confident that the experience for our guests would not be up to the normal high standards.
3. Some events rely on there being an equal number of men and woman and if the ratio is way out of balance, or there just aren't enough people overall then we prefer to choose the lesser of 2 evils and postpone or cancel the event.

Privacy Statement

1. Singles in the City Limited respects and understands the importance of your privacy and will never sell your details to any unrelated third parties.
2. When registering with Singles in the City  Limited, you will be required to provide your email address or other personal information. This information is used for (a) adding you to the Speed Dating mailing list database and/or (b) registering you for an Singles in the City Limited event.
3. When your information is collected, it will only be used to advise you of upcoming Singles in the City Limited events and for correspondence relating to any events for which you have booked. If you register with Singles in the City  Limited your information will be added to our database.
4. When participating in an Singles in the City Limited event, you are giving us permission to optionally forward your email address, first name and a contact phone number to any participants with whom you "match". A "match" is when both parties select a "yes" or "friend" for each other, indicating that they would like to be in contact again. 
5. We will not forward your email address or other information to any other people in attendance at the event without your prior permission

Disclaimer

Singles in the City Limited is not a match making company or a dating agency.

1. We provide events where people can meet other people in a relaxed, safe environment.
2. We cannot vouch for the marital status, personality or sanity of any participant. It is up to you to clarify these matters to your own satisfaction.
3. Insofar as Singles in the City Limited does not independently screen participants attending its events, we will not be held liable for any damages, direct or indirect, that may in any way arise out of meeting or communicating with anyone met at an Singles in the City Limited event.
